About the Resource

Wacky Soap is a spoof, Pythonesque allegorical tale (alcohol / substance abuse / nuclear power!) set in The Bower of Bliss, written by the team (largely!) responsible for The Most Absurd Xmas Musical in The World... Ever!

King Huff wants the everyday folk of The Bower of Bliss to be happy so, after years of hard work, he invents an amazing new product... Wacky Soap. Washing with Wacky Soap brings instant happiness and an inclination towards outrageous behaviour but unfortunately, as King Huff discovers all too late, prolonged use leads to unforeseen dangers.

The everyday folk in The Bower of Bliss discover that they have washed various bits of themselves away and are understandably furious! King Huff’s daughter, Princess Symbol, has completely soaped herself away (never to return) after a night in the shower with this “amazing” Wacky Soap.

Although King Huff bans Wacky Soap, the everyday folk’s children are again tempted by the allure of this invention, albeit under a different name. Can King Huff (or indeed their parents) stop them from inviting such dangers upon themselves?

Wacky Soap can be presented as a play, a musical or a concert performance without any staging.

Wacky Soap complements Health Education initiatives in or out of the curriculum.

Wacky Soap comes as a complete script and score for piano. You can add in the following by clicking the images at the bottom of this page.
