About the Resource

Who said that Shakespeare is dull? This active scheme was originally written for year 7, but has since been taught to year 9 and 10 with equal success. It will provide your students with knowledge of theatre history, types of stages and of course the story and characters of Macbeth. This scheme will provide 8 detailed lesson plans, interactive power points, a variety of detailed resources, edited scripts (both original and modernised) as well as support and challenge tasks for your students.

About the Author

I trained at the University of Warwick in 2008 and worked in the Midlands at a specialist Arts College until September 2012, when I was appointed as Head of Drama at a secondary school in Derbyshire. As a Drama team, we place an emphasis on Drama, as crucial for social and emotional development – but most importantly, enjoyment! Our dedicated Drama department teaches Drama in years 7, 8 and 9, with every pupil experiencing one hour per week of discrete Drama lessons. We also offer GCSE Drama to KS4 students. I hope you enjoy teaching these schemes as much as I have with my students.
