Resource Details

This resource includes a lesson plan for a special effects workshop that can be used as a ‘one off’ lesson or part of a scheme. It teaches pupils how to make their drama more exciting by adding special effects such as lighting, make up, sound and costume. The plan has been adapted for the differing levels of technical equipment that may or may not be available and includes pupil worksheets. We have used this lesson across KS3 & KS4, it is a really good way to get students excited about drama and is inclusive of all abilities. A pupil worksheet / grid which accompanies the lesson is available as a resource sample here.
