About the Resource

This is an original script suitable for youth club, as part of a performance evening or for classroom use. It's meaasge, about the consequences of unthinking use of the internet, is highly relevant to young people of all ages. There is no "mature content" in the script.

The script is written for three girls and two boys, but could be adapted for any combination of genders, as long as there is at least one female actor.

Jenny hasn't been at the school long. But in her short time she has made good friends with Lilleth, Aisha, Dippo and especially Tiggsy. But Tiggsy has done something - completely innocently - which puts everything in jeopardy. There are several messages in the play, including one about internet safety which would make it ideal for performance to other students.

Combining physicality and humour, sadness and a Chinese buffet, in this resource you get:

-  a 23-page script (25 mins);

- three music files (including the one you are listening to now) and one other fx sound file;

- notes for the teacher.

The play needs no set, no furniture, two teddy bears, a banana, a dressing gown and some mobile phones. Lighting would be nice but isn't essential.

A free script sample is available by clicking here.

If the play is performed to an "outside" audience (i.e. anyone other than  students and staff from your own establishment) then a Performance Licence is needed, whether an admission charge is made or not. See here.
