This scheme has five full lesson plans plus powerpoint presentations and additional resources to enable you to teach your KS4 students, or perhaps your higher ability KS3 pupils, about audience, intention, semiotics and performance space. Students will explore didactic theatre, theatre-in-education and create their own piece of documentary theatre based on The Titanic. Activities include adapting a stranger danger themed piece for both 5 and 15 year olds and exploring the most appropriate performance style in order to achieve their intentions. They will produce mood boards to showcase their thinking on semiotics for their work and will be given the chance for intense self and peer evaluation. This scheme is written for KS4 or KS3 and would be especially suitable for students who are starting their GCSE and are developing and enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the subject.
