author search box on the left. About the Resource A Year 7 / KS3 scheme that is imaginative and offers many opportunities for creative exploration. The Matilda scheme covers a breadth of drama techniques and offers an excellent foundation on which to build drama knowledge. Nine one-hour lessons planned in great detail and lots of resources - inspiring and enjoyable - just a great scheme! Links to the film on Youtube are included. However, the clips have recently been removed, presumably by the rights owners. We cannot guarantee their current or future availability. There is a sheet included in the resource which gives DVD timings for required clips. You may therefore wish to add the Matilda DVD to your order below. This is a special edition of the film with loads of extra features. Please remember that the DVD is Region 2 (will play in any computer and all region 2 / Region-free DVD players). The DVDs we supply are genuine DVDs which are shrink-wrapped. We cannot supply the DVD separately to the scheme of work.
About the Author I trained at the University of Warwick in 2008 and worked in the Midlands at a specialist Arts College until September 2012, when I was appointed as Head of Drama at a secondary school in Derbyshire. As a Drama team, we place an emphasis on Drama, as crucial for social and emotional development – but most importantly, enjoyment! Our dedicated Drama department teaches Drama in years 7, 8 and 9, with every pupil experiencing one hour per week of discrete Drama lessons. We also offer GCSE Drama to KS4 students. I hope you enjoy teaching these schemes as much as I have with my students.
