About the Resource

You’ve worked hard at developing students group skills and work ethic in the class room and are ready to go with some solid drama.

This detailed scheme is ideal for new drama teachers as well as experienced ones as it provides detailed instructions through the lessons which are set out in 4 Activities. These activities are supported by 5 resources.

The introduction in the schemes provides notes as to how to meet special needs, literacy, numeracy, ICT, as well as making personal learning and thinking skills explicit.

There is enough flexibility within the scheme for you to cover the content of still images, thought tracking, role playing, improvisation, simple image theatre, hot-seating and an introduction to characterisation over half a term or a term depending on your needs. The various aims and foci are suggestions and again open to your own manipulation.

This short unit of work will pack a punch in building a solid foundation from which to develop further quality drama!
